Arbor Peakflow

IP Flow-Based Technology - Arbor Peakflow

Peakflow SP – Deployed by over 70 percent of the world's leading ISPs, Peakflow SP is the industry's solution-of-choice for ensuring network integrity and availability. Service providers use Peakflow SP for infrastructure security to proactively monitor, detect and mitigate network-wide anomalies caused by DDoS attacks, botnets and other threats.  Peakflow SP’s traffic and routing functionality improves operational efficiency by analysing flow data and accurately modelling traffic across the entire network, resulting in increased profitability with new revenue-generating managed services.

  • Edge-to-Edge Security & Visibility – With Arbor Peakflow SP Flow Sensor (FS) devices , you can expand your Peakflow SP deployment far beyond the peering edge and backbone – gaining a clear view of network traffic all the way to the customer edge in order to detect insidious internal threats.
  • Business Intelligence – The Arbor Peakflow SP Business Intelligence (BI) device provides deep insight into critical, network-based business entities such as transit partners, customers, routers and applications to support sound decision-making. It also increases the scalability of Peakflow SP and the availability of critical IP services.
  • Carrier-Class Threat Management – Through its Threat Management System (TMS) device, Arbor Peakflow SP integrates network-wide intelligence and carrier-class threat management. Peakflow SP TMS speeds remediation by coupling high-level threat identification with deep packet-level analysis. The first-and-only carrier-class threat management solution for converged networks, it augments the network-wide situational awareness of Peakflow SP with application-layer attack detection, surgical mitigation and comprehensive reporting.
  • High Availability for Managed Services – The Peakflow SP Portal Interface (PI) device provides fault tolerance and redundancy to keep managed services up and running. Through real-time data synchronization and automated, near-instantaneous failover, it optimises the availability of managed services.

Peakflow X – Conducts network behaviour analysis (NBA) to provide pervasive, cost effective network visibility and real-time threat detection. This critical business information can be used for real-time network analysis, historical flow data reporting or capacity planning, simplifying auditing requirements for regulatory compliance and prioritising threat analysis and mitigation.

  • Network-Wide Visibility – Leverage IP flow technology in your existing network devices to achieve pervasive, cost-effective visibility and security of enterprise networks – including those based on MPLS.
  • Application Intelligence – Detect the applications on your network and identify who’s using them – enabling you to improve the performance of critical business applications and form sound business reasons for network or application expansion and policy development.
  • Network Behavioural Analysis – Understand the normal behaviour of traffic including VoIP or P2P, and be alerted to abnormalities due to misconfigurations or malicious activity.
  • Zero-Day Protection – Leverage anomaly detection to immediately identify zero-day threats missed by quickly outdated signature-based security tools.
  • Unrivalled Threat Analysis – Optimize threat analysis and mitigation by combining unique Arbor capabilities: global visibility via the Active Threat Level Analysis System (ATLAS) and local detection via Active Threat Feed (ATF) fingerprints.
  • Compliance Assurance – Monitor compliance with internal or external regulations (e.g., SOX, GLBA, PCI) and be alerted to violations via network usage reports and audit trail.
