Framework deal eases the route to Juniper Networks technology
JANET(UK) has signed an agreement with Imtech Telecom Global for the supply of routing and switching equipment, maintenance and professional services. Public sector and related organisations may use the agreement to purchase Juniper equipment. The agreement is valid until June 2011 with the option of extension to 2013. Imtech Telecom Global was selected as a result of an EU tender process.
Juniper represents an increasing share of the public sector IT infrastructure and the framework provides a conduit similar to that which has been available for other prominent network technologies.
Because JANET has tested the market through an open tender, organizations can feel confident that they are benefiting from advantageous pricing and satisfying the requirements of public procurement.
The agreement will save time and money by reducing or eliminating the effort of tendering or obtaining multiple quotes.
Individual transactions will be directly between the organization and Imtech, ensuring accountability of the supplier.

A fully equipped network laboratory and training centre are available for customer use.
